    When most people think about marketing, they think advertising. While advertising is a part of marketing, marketing is much bigger than advertising. There are lots of different marketing
    od advertising, which costs money. So, I looked at my list again and realized I was eating take-out food 2-3 times a week. And with a family of 4 that is alot of money.

    It was a foggy mid-October day as I made my way into the office to commence my work day. I was stuck in our normal morning commute and not able to see the buildings in Calgary’s downtown
    When I first started my Home Business, I like many did not have alot of capital or start-up money to spend on getting my business going with advertising, websites, money to join some affiliate programs etc. That`s when I decided to sit down and write out a list of things that I would buy during the week and month.

    I was Amazed at the things I found that I really did not need! For example, I was buying 1 soft drink a day for when I was at work. They cost roughly $1.50. So, $1.50 times 5 = $7.50. $7.50 times 4 = $30.

    Taking water to work each day saved me $30 a month! now that was a small example.

    I wanted to get my business off the ground with some good advertising, which costs money. So, I looked at my list again and realized I was eating take-out food 2-3 times a week. And with a family of 4 that is alot of money.

    A few months ago I spent time training some telephone sales agents who were new to selling. They'd mainly been involved with handling incoming calls but now their company needed them t
    od advertising, which costs money. So, I looked at my list again and realized I was eating take-out food 2-3 times a week. And with a family of 4 that is alot of money. So we cut it down to once a week and that alone saved $30 a week! 30 times 4 is $120!

    With just cutting out 2 small things from my list it came to saving $150 extra a month. Imagine taking away most things that you don`t need, and think about how much extra money you could save. There are many ways to budget, but I would suggest just sitting down and writing out a list of what you buy on a weekly-monthly basis. You will be amazed like I was at the amount of things you really DO NOT need.

    I hope this tip helps all of you who would like to start a business but think you don`t have the money to do it.
