Effective Recognition: A Conversation with Management Consultant and Author Cindy Ventrice st out with Jeff.Cindy Ventrice is a management consultant and workshop leader with over 20 years of experience in a wide range of industries. She spoke to dozens of company managers in compiling the tips that make up her book Make Their Day! Employee Recognition That Works. In this interview she provides guidance for owners and leaders to assess the quality of their current recognition programs and identifies the traits common to leaders offering effective employee recognition. What can small businesses, who may not have the funding or resources to compete with larger firms in terms of employee incentives, do to motivate their employees? The good news is that, in terms of recognition, money is not a significant factor. Once employees have what they consider to be a fair wage – in other words, they’re at 75 percent of the industry standard for their geographic area – money is not really a factor in how motivated they people are, how willing they are to stay and how valued they feel in the workpl Developing Characters and Relationships: tips / tits. Pushed to Marketing Planning - Preparation and Accountability From our deconstruction of hundreds of Hollywood blockbusters and Academy Award Winners....We all know the saying, “Failing to plan (prepare) is planning (preparing) to fail.” I truly believe in this statement and I hope you do as well. Building your service business, including marketing it must be planned and does take work.I don’t happen to believe that there really are magic bullets or black magic boxes. My advice – quit looking. This stuff does take work, but you can certainly do it.If you’re like most people I meet, then planning is something you know is important but doesn’t always happen. We are generally ‘doers’. We need to feel like we’re “doing” something to be productive – whether it’s going to networking events, sending out mailers, or making calls to try and set up meetings. And all that planning sure doesn’t feel like we’re “doing” anything. It’s time consuming when there is plenty of day-to-day work to be done. And truthfully, not everyone knows the best way to go about it.But being unprepared in your business and life creates stress, problems, h The Hero's Journey is the template upon which the vast majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based upon. In fact, ALL of the Hollywood movies we have deconstructed are based on this template. Understanding this template is a priority for story or screenwriters. The Hero's Journey: a) Attempts to tap into unconscious expectations the audience has regarding what a story is and how it should be told. b) Gives the writer more structural elements than simply three or four acts, plot points, mid point and so on. c) Interpreted metaphorically, laterally and symbolically, allows an infinite number of varied stories to be created. and more... Pushed to White Plains DWI Lawyer Journey.Working with a White Plains DWI Lawyer DWI is a criminal offense in the state of New York, so it’s important to work with an attorney who is qualified to defend you against any DWI charges you are facing. Working with a White Plains DWI lawyer means you will have access to professional expert witnesses, information about new developments in the field of DWI law, and case law that could make or break your case. Working with someone who has specialized in DWI law means that you’ll be working with someone who is truly focused on DWI defense as a career. Pushed to Debt Consolidation And Your FICO Score onist: Ron; gosh I'm afraid you're not right for this role.FICO, a credit score that determines the likely hood of your paying your bills, was developed by Fair Isaac & Co in the late 1950s, and is widely accepted as a way of credit evaluation. Debt consolidation is away of consolidating all your debts into a single larger debt, to be able to repay your accumulated debts. One of the best ways to improve your FICO score is to pay off your outstanding debts. The more close your debt balance is to your credit limit, the more it affects your credit score adversely. Consolidating your debts through mortgage refinancing or a home equity second mortgage loan can help you reduce or payoff your accumulated debts.Such loans may be 100 percent tax deductible in certain cases, and you need to consult your tax consultant.Debt consolidation has a positive effect on your FICO score by lowering your debt-to-income ratio. The lower the ratio, the better it is for you.
