FDR was right in many ways on the future efficiencies of transportation, although some things he did were not perfect that one was right, BTW- I am the 8th cousin twice removed from FDR? Pretty cool? Today, it is time to revitalize our transportation system and work to increase its efficiencies.

Currently our high-speed train system in some parts of the country is broken and the truth is that Amtrak is having problems (what a waste of money) of course the EuroTunnel also is in dire straights (in bankruptcy). You see, Government cannot do it, it must be free-enterprise doing it, it is the only way and the government needs to clear the way, not stand in it. We need less regulations, fewer lawyers and we need to get busy like a bunch of ants and tighten up our infrastructure, without costing those Entrepreneurial capitalists billions in the process of red tape.

Our nation should have state-of-the-art transportation. Why fall into fifth place to Europe, Japan and others? Silly, because our National Laboratories, Scientists and innovators are the ones who came up with all this stuff that they are using now. Mag Lev, invented by us, first jet-powered bullet trains came from Bechtel after WWII, we had Battell and many others so far ahead of the game and yet we sit on our butts. Inexcusable!

I am tired of weak humans in the world and people who say "We Can't" the hell we can't we have built the greatest nation in the history of the human species. So we sure as hell can. Too much red tape, lawyers, over regulations stifling the future of this nation and therefore all we can bring to the rest of the world in knowledge, know-how and discovery; enough to satisfy the dreams and desires of all the planet combined and yet we are pissing it away. Drives me nuts I tell ya!
