Hero's Journey (Monomyth): Superimpose the Situation Over the Structure
The Hero's Journey is the template upon which the vast majority of successful stories and Hollywood blockbusters are based upon. In fact, ALL of the hundreds of Hollywood movies we have deconstructed (see URL below) are based on this 188 stage template.Understanding this template is a priority for story or screenwriters. There is only one story. The Hero's Journey:a) Attempts to tap into unconscious expectations the audience has regarding what a story is and how it should be told.b) Gives the writer more structural elements than simply three or four acts, plot points, mid point and so on.c) Gives you a tangible process for building and releasing dissonance (establishing and achieving catharsis).d) Gives you

    Leadership
Generally leadership and leader skills themselves require a professional knowledge, good practice and often intuition. It truly requires powerful potential from a pile of dull grey rubble. Sometimes the purpose of leadership is instructive, interactive, participative, mentoring, or dictatorial. In all cases, leadership involves influence and power. When defining leadership power, it is critical to appreciate that the perception of someone as a leader is just as important as the legitimacy of that perception. Once the perception is defined and accepted by the group, its legitimacy becomes mute. But leadership has to be recognized by others in order to be effectively used. The important issues to remember about leadership are that perception is just as important as th
Can I go to the edge and walk on it, taking care not to fall down and get killed?

Can I walk on the verge of a crevice?

Can I live my life on edge, taking care not to fall down - every single moment?

The utmost care is needed in order not to fall down and harm your-self.

You need total silence for that much of care!

No noise of the mind running here and there noisily inside the brain can, any more, be afforded.

After all it is a question of do or die!

After all it is a question of life and death!

The brain takes the initiative and immediately stops the mind.

The right synaptic signals get clearly established in between the brain cells, and travel through the motor nerves to the muscles taking the right step at the right moment.

    Generating Fresh Content
There are many reasons to keep adding new or fresh content to your website. In most businesses and organizations, things change. It may be that the day-to-day activities of your organization interest your clients. Maybe potential clients can gain information from your site, leading to an appreciation for you over your competitors. Or maybe you just want to keep your site updated so it will rank well in the results of search engines.Whatever the reason, we'll talk about a few different areas of your site that can be kept updated.PortfolioIf your work results in distinct creations (ie paintings, logos, websites) rather than identical items or services (t-shirts, toys), it would benefit you to keep a portfolio. Show pictures of your work, from multi

The Biggest Loser 2: A Tale Of 2 Losers!
When it comes to losing weight, what do you think is the biggest contributing factor? The food you eat?The amount of exercise you do?Genetics? You just have to look at the latest series of The Biggest Loser to get your answer: It’s attitude!I’ve worked with many ‘losers’ over the past 15 years and I can tell you from experience that if you don’t have the right attitude, you just won’t succeed. The way you think effects the way you feel, and the way you feel effects the amount of effort you put in.So, back to The Biggest Loser. Remember Nick? He was the guy voted off in week 3. Boy, did he have an attitude! He’s got people around him, trying to push him, trying to get the best out of him so that he can succeed. But what does he d

The Revolt of the Poor: The Demise of Intellectual Property?
Three years ago I published a book of short stories in Israel. The publishing house belongs to Israel's leading (and exceedingly wealthy) newspaper. I signed a contract which stated that I am entitled to receive 8% of the income from the sales of the book after commissions payable to distributors, shops, etc. A few months later (1997), I won the coveted Prize of the Ministry of Education (for short prose). The prize money (a few thousand DMs) was snatched by the publishing house on the legal grounds that all the money generated by the book belongs to them because they own the copyright. In the mythology generated by capitalism to pacify the masses, the myth of intellectual property stands out. It goes like this : if the rights to intellectual property were not defined

7,389,432 Weight Loss Tips Guaranteed To Help You Lose Weight
A week or so ago, I was in the check-out line at the supermarket and saw a blurb on the cover of a magazine. The headline read: "Breakthrough! FAT LOSS VITAMIN!", and the text beneath it said, "95% of us don't get enough. Safely boost your intake and: Lose 5 lbs a week! Burn 30% more fat every day!" The magazine was Woman's World.Being in the business of health, fitness, diet and weight loss, this claim intrigued me so I threw a copy of the magazine in the buggy, and read the article when I got home.Very briefly, here's what the article had to say: Most people don't get enough Vitamin C, and Vitamin C can help your body burn more fat. Now, this was interesting, and since I believe most people don't get the nutrients they n

This is what stopping in the moment is.

But the question remains: where to find those edges, or how to create them in our day to day, routine and mundane life; and that too without putting it in any stupid peril!

Certainly, it is a real pertinent question if we have honestly decided to live life on edge.

My everyday life is a mechanical rut: all too safe, all too secure, all too dull, all too boring!

It makes me feel tired and sleepy all through.

We need carving islands of adventure within the very fabric of our mundane routine.

So, what do we do all through the day?
