The idea was initially conceived (and eventually morphed into The Wise Grappler) and presented to me almost two years ago by my coach. When I first heard it, I thought it was a great idea. And just like all the steps I laid out in Get Rich Quick? Internet Business Misconceptions! Have you ever had someone present you with a great idea or business opportunity that was just perfect for you? An idea that the more you thought about it, you grew to love it even more? An idea that you saw the potential, life-changing impact that this idea could have in your life and in the lives of those around you? An idea that satisfied a growing demand? And when the time came for you to make a decision about that great opportunity that would've change your entire life, were you so afraid of failing that you did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, allowing someone else to take away the great idea, opportunity, and lifestyle that was meant for you?I had to laugh the other day as I was watching television. There was a commercial about running an internet business from your home. It was one of those, “Visit our website to start making thousands of fast and easy dollars a month!” Perhaps you know what I am talking about. On this commercial there were numerous people sharing their success stories. One story showed a woman sipping a drink by her pool and she explained how she only worked two days a week and she was making $5000 a month. Another ma I'm sure you've had that experience at least once in your life. In fact, I'm certain that we ALL have experienced that at one point in our lives. The feeling from a great opportunity is always exciting when first presented to us, but after the euphoria wears off and our negative thoughts start working on us, the fear of taking the kind of risk that would force us out of our comfort zone kicks in at full speed. Once the fear kicks in and we give in to it, the idea is officially dead! We subconsciously start looking for reasons to explain why the great opportunity isn't so great after all. We start looking for cracks and holes in the great idea. And if you look for something to be wrong long enough, you'll eventually find it! The idea that was once groundbreaking and exciting to you is now too risky and reckless. The more you think about it, the more holes you find in the idea. And the more holes you think you find in the idea, the more the fear grabs you and drives you to the point where you start to turn away from that great opportunity to play it safe. So, when the time comes to make a decision, you decide to pass it up. You feel pretty good that you didn't get screwed over by getting involved in such a bad idea...until you hear about the person that did take the opportunity and how it paid off for them. In order tomake a commitment to a relationship, it takes strength and trust inanother. When we trust our partner and we receive trust back, it is avery nice feeling. Then you ask yourself why good things like that never happen to you!1. IntroductionForensic identification may take place prior to death and is referred to as Antemortem (AM) identification. Identification may as well be carried out after death and is called Postmortem (PM) identification. While behavioral characteristics (e.g. speech) are not suitable for PM identification, most of the physiological characteristics are not appropriate for PM identification as well, especially under severe circumstances encountered in mass disasters (e.g. airplane cr I do know that scenario personally. In fact, it's part of the The Wise Grappler Story. The idea was initially conceived (and eventually morphed into The Wise Grappler) and presented to me almost two years ago by my coach. When I first heard it, I thought it was a great idea. And just like all the steps I laid out in the previous paragraph, I went through all of them until I came to the conclusion that it was a bad idea. I didn't see it as a good opportunity for me and I did nothing with the idea for over a year. The feeling that it wasn't "a good opportunity for me" change one day in an email that I got from my coach where he essentially asked me one question: "Are you too scared to even try?" When I read that email, it was as if his arms had reached out of my computer monitor, grabbed me by the throat, and choked me so hard that I almost passed out before he let go of me. The amount of clarity that I had at that moment was amazing! He was right; I was so afraid of failing that I wouldn't even try to succeed! And the more that I thought about it, the more disappointed I was with me. Shame can be a wonderful motivator because at that moment, I realized that I didn't even give myself a chance to succeed. I just presumed that I would fail! So, I was fortunate that the opportunity wasn't lost to me forever and, once again, consider what a great opportunity it would be for me. And I went through the exact same process as before; the good feelings, followed quickly by the same fear as before but even stronger than the first time. And when the time came for me to make that decision a second time, I was still afraid...but I did it and took all that fear with me! And the rest is history. What about you? Are there any great opportunities in your life that you've been too scared to even to try? I can tell you that the fear isn't going to go away. And since it won't go away, you might as well take it with you while making your great idea come true!
