If your business is in the process of development, you'll realise that there many aspects to office expansion that you'll need to cover. For instance, you might be building an additional floor onto your building, or renovating any existing unused parts of your building to accommodate your burgeoning staff levels and equipment. But whether you require building services or facilities management, you can be sure that you and your business won't have to undertake these daunting tasks without support. Many companies offer full property management services that are tailor-made to meet the needs of any business - large or small. Cover up in the sun
Sun worshippers may look healthy and tanned in the short-term, but excess sun exposure quickly takes its toll and is one of the most ageing factors on the skin, doing as much damage as nicotine from tobacco smoke. Too much time spent in direct sunlight can cause wrinkles and lessen the elasticity of the skin, and worse still it can cause skin cancer. Any time you go outside, even if it’s not a particularly hot or sunny day, cover up appropriately and wear a high-factor sun screen cream.

    Cooling UK Property Market
It is of little surprise that recent interest rate rises have taken its toll on house prices across the UK. The number of new mortgage approvals in the UK fell to a 12-month low in April, Bank of England figures show. Mortgage approvals totalled 107,000 in April, down from 111,000 in March and the third monthly decline in a row. In a further indication of weakening buyer demand mortgage lending rose by ?8.9bn, much less than expected and the weakest rise since September"The Bank of England will be comforted by today's news which shows its monetary tightening is taking effect," said Thushani Gajasinghe, an economist at the Centre for Economic and Business Research."With a further quarter-point rate increase possible in the third quarter, consumer lending may cool further."But now, after a fourth quarter-point interest rate rise in just nine months – and another seemingly on the horizon – are the bears among the property commentators finally about to be proved right? So what
Careers in modelling – how to look good
In modelling, your body is your most important asset. If you don’t look after your health and your looks, the telltale signs will be obvious to prospective agencies and employers and you’ll find it difficult breaking into the industry or progressing in your modelling career. Here are some tips on how to look after your health and your body and how to present yourself well to get ahead in modelling.
    Eat a healthy diet
Beauty isn’t just on the outside – what we do to the inside of our bodies has a major impact on how healthy we look on the outside. It’s therefore important to eat healthily. Aim to eat a balanced diet comprising all the main food groups. The main proportion of your daily calorie intake should be from complex carbohydrates such as wholemeal grains, breads and cereals, which are a good source of energy and nutrition. Avoid refined carbohydrates and sugary foods as much as possible, although it doesn’t do any harm to treat yourself now and again – the key is everything in moderation. Also get your five daily portions of fruit and vegetables and eat a good few portions of dairy products and protein every day. Cut out as much saturated fat as possible and try to focus on eating ‘good’ unsaturated fats such as those found in oily fish, seeds and nuts.

Eating a healthy diet doesn’t mean restricting yourself. Although models needs to be slim, being underweight is unhealthy and dangerous and you should never try to starve yourself. Ensure you meet all your nutritional needs while getting the appropriate amount of exercise and you should be able to stay svelte and healthy.
    Exercise
Exercise regularly to keep your body in shape. No one type of exercise is better than another – do whatever you enjoy most. Swimming is good all-round exercise and most people have a public pool in their local area, or you could join your local gym where there will be professional instructors on hand to work out an appropriate programme of exercise for you. Alternatively, simply try walking or cycling. As well as two or three dedicated exercise sessions per week, aim to be as active as possible on a daily basis by, for example, walking up to the corner shop to buy a pint of milk rather than taking the car or the bus.
    Drink plenty of water
If you’re dehydrated, which many of us are, your skin won’t look as bright, fresh, soft and glowing as it should. Drink plenty of fluids, particularly water, to keep your skin refreshed.

Taking Stock: Time to Re-examine your Goals
At the beginning of the year good intentions run rampant. We are all setting objectives, putting together resolutions, creating goals, and determining that we are, for sure, going to do something better or bigger this year. Well, how’s it going? Have you taken stock of where you are at against those goals?I’ve noticed a trend when it comes to goal setting. This is what it looks like:*Beginning of the year starts out strong. Goals are set and pacts are made to reach those goals.*Over the course of the next month or two the business shifts focus and you are off and running in a completely different direction.*A few more months go by and you settle into the same routine you’ve been in for the past few years.*Two more months go by so fast you don’t even notice they’ve past.*The end of the year rolls around and you realize you are in the same spot you were this time last year, but…...this year is going to be differen

    What's in a Face?
I once had a colleague that would roll his eyes at almost every idea that wasn’t his own. Additional facial expressions that complemented the eye-rolling were typically easy to spot as well: puffed cheeks then a release of air, sighs, furrowed brows, and other assorted expressions that gave everyone around the distinct impression that this individual thought he was way too smart to have to sit in meetings with the rest of us. One time someone called him out on it. The most interesting part of all of this was that he really didn’t have a clue that he was an eye-roller. He truly was not aware of the expressions he was making and even more importantly how they were negatively impacting the rest of the team.I’ve found two factors that can lead to problems with facial expressions. The first is the person being completely unaware of the face they are donning. Individuals who are not conscious of the picture they’ve painted on their face for others to see are usually also not fully aware of t

Estimating Construction Costs Requires Skill And Accuracy
The major part of an estimator’s job obviously is estimating job costs. In the past, doing this manually left marginal room for error. Today, with technology evolving everyday, software has been developed to reduce the chances of input error. The software offers an assortment of different templates that allow you to enter your costs, inventory and even profits. This allows you to give a more accurate estimate without leaving the jobsite. With this software, what used to take hours and even days to complete can now be completed in a fraction of the time. The software programs can be learned in a short amount of time, and are made so even those who are computer illiterate can learn them.Estimating software allows your business to operate on a higher level by making it look more professional. You are able to estimate jobs faster and more efficiently. Your business will have the appearance of stability and competence. Changes on a jobsite occur often, and in the past, when the changes occurred, i

Know How to Hold 'Em - Attracting and Keeping Top Performers
One of the biggest challenges companies are facing is the attraction and retention of top performers. The World Future Society predicted that the greatest test of durability for companies in the next five years would be the ability to get and keep good people. In some industries such as the homebuilding industry there is a phenomenon of merry-go-round employees where employees jump ship within the industry and companies are recycling employees. In the finance industry the big question to a top performer is "Where did you jump from?"One executive management client had left a specific financial institution because a competitor wooed her. Once there, she wasn't as happy as she thought would be and was wooed back again to the original employer. She did this back and forth thing two more times! This is very common in specific industries as the fight for good people continues. So how do we attract the top performers and second to that how do we keep them from jumping? Here are the top five th

    Facial skincare
Work out a good beauty regime and stick to it. You don’t need to spend money on exclusive or designer skincare products. Just understand your skin type (normal, combination, oily) and try out various good-quality products from your local high street beauty care store until you find the ones that are right for you. Never use soap on your face. Always use a gentle cleanser. You’ll also need a toner to freshen up your complexion and wipe away excess cleanser, and a moisturiser to keep your skin soft and supple. Choose a moisturiser with UV filters to protect your skin from the sun.
    Body care
Use a good moisturiser all over your body to keep your skin soft, toned and fresh. Was your legs, armpits and bikini line rather than shaving – it’s a more natural and long-lasting look. Have it done professionally if you want, or simply buy a good-quality home waxing kit. In addition to a good body cream, you’ll need a good foot cream to keep your feet in tip-top condition. There’s nothing worse than feet with hard skin, blisters or sores. Wear comfortable, flat and supportive shoes whenever you can to help avoid irritation and swelling.
    Hair
Get a good haircut regularly to keep your hair in good condition. The more often it’s cut, the healthier and glossier it will look. There’s nothing worse than straggly hair with split ends. Steer clear of outlandish hairstyles and colours. You want to convey a professional image at all times, and you need to be flexible and adaptable for various modelling purposes. Don’t try to dye your hair at home – domestic dyes are of a lesser quality and it’s difficult to get a natural and stylish result.
    Teeth
Brush your teeth at least twice a day and after meals if possible, and replace your toothbrush regularly to ensure it cleans effectively. Flossing is also an integral part of a good daily dental hygiene regime. Get your teeth looked after professionally too by visiting your dentist every six months for a check-up. Have any treatment that’s necessary for your dental health – a good smile is vital for any model. You can also help to limit decay and staining by limiting your intake of tea and coffee and avoiding fizzy drinks as much as possible.
    Nails
Attention to detail is important for a model, so keep your fingernails and toenails immaculate – they’ll be noticed if they’re scruffy. You don’t need to go to a professional nail salon on a regular basis. Just use hand cream regularly, keep the cuticles in good condition, and cut, file and buff your nails before covering them in a protective clear varnish. Do this every f
