Carry these with you on the day of travel.

Reassure your pet before this. A hug or two will be most comforting for your pet. Once inside the aircraft ensure that the pilot is told that your dog is traveling in the hold. A number or national carriers have pressurized hold only meant for pets. However, if it is a small aircraft, or the destination not one of the metros, reconfirm this.
