    Point Number 1: Use Powerful Action Words and Phrases

    Notice In the title above I could have said "Use verbs" but that wouldn't have been as strong, See? Your Resume has to grab the readers attention. Get a thesaurus or book on word use or grab a Professional Resume Writer, whatever, but do not skip this step. This alone makes the difference between getting "seen" and well... no interviews!

    Point Number 2: Use Post Titles That Describe The Positions Accurately (within the Industry)

    "What does that mean?" You may ask.
    Use this guide:
    1. Do the job titles reflect the duties that are listed.
    2. Does the job title indicate the level of the post ? i.e. Junior or Senior positions. An example: A Janitor is also classified as a Jr. or Sr.Building Maintenance Engineer.
    3. The post titles should be "current" Don't use old outdated job titles. Older job titles may inadvertently create the wrong impression.

    Point Number 3: Be Sensible With The Design, Layout and Formatting Of Your Resume

    Give your resume a balanced and even look. When formating your resume for distribution keep in mind that Microsoft WORD is used by a virtually every businesses in the USA. Don't write your resume in Corel WP, Mac, Works or other files No one can read them! If you are sending your resume electronically, format it in a web-friendly text format so that when it is scanned in it will also be readable.

    Remember resume writing is a Business activity not a wedding invitation so use simple easy to read fonts, don't use more than 1 or 2 styles or sizes. Use even spacing and make the Resume Pop and Stand Out!
